The Burn refers to how the wrapper of the cigar burns. This is typically a leaf or structural issue. However it could be caused by user error on the lighting of the cigar as well. A lot of cigar smokers will critique the cigar based on the way the wrapper burns. If a cigar burns evenly all the way around then critics believe it is a good sign in the quality of the cigar. If the cigar burns unevenly and begins to ‘canoe’ then its believed to be a flaw in the cigar.
